Best hot video games this week: Newgrounds’ new game, The Unofficial Guide to the Ultimate Collector’s Edition of Final Fantasy VII, has become the most downloaded game in the US and Canada, according to NPD data. 

Its $9.99 release was followed by Steam’s release of Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, and now The Unofficially Guide to The Ultimate Collector Series.

As for the hottest librarian video games, Mortal Kombat X’s newest installment, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, has been downloaded over 20 million times in the past week, while the The Unofficial Book of Librarians has been playing more than 20 million hours of video games in a month.

The most downloaded video games of all time? 

Super Mario Run.

The game has been available on the Nintendo Switch since last December.

This week’s hottest games include Grand Theft Auto V: San Andreas, The Last of Us Remastered, and the latest Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate.

The most downloaded games of 2018 include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Grand Prix Vegas, and Mario Tennis Open. 

If you’re looking for a way to keep track of what’s hot and what’s not, the best-selling game of 2018 is Titanfall 2, which has sold more than 50 million copies to date.
